Posting to the WebBoard

After you have logged on to WebBoard, you will see two divisions on the screen. On the left-hand side of your screen, you see current conferences. Look for your professor's section (examples come from the English 376 WebBoard):

To open the conference in which you want to post a message, click on the + sign beside the conference name:

You can also expand the list of topics that have been posted under a particular subject. Below, Melissa Shelly has replied to Joe Essid's message "My test from my desk":

You are ready to post a message at this point. You could click on the title of Melissa's or Joe's messages, and the message would appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

When you click on a topic and read the message, you can either reply to the message, as Melissa did above, or you can create your own topic in the conference, as Pete and Kim did.

Let's assume that you wanted to post a new topic, instead of replying to an existing topic (replying works in almost the same way, so this tutorial will not cover it).

Click on the "POST" button above the message you are reading or on the black command bar at the top of the screen. You will see this:
